I’d just like to take a moment to point out that my friend Kim is cooler than shit.

a) She went to school for 10 years after high school and now works with an idealistic private group dedicated to furthering “responsible medicine.”
b) She caught the travel bug a couple years ago and has since found the time, money, and guts to get off her ass and travel through Europe, Japan, and Latin America (including Antigua, Gutemala, Mexico and Belize in often less-than-friendly times).
c) She decided she wanted to know what the whole ‘blog thing’ was all about, so she dove straight in and now has one of the most intelligent and entertaining weblogs on the block.
d) She also had an interest in photography, so she bought a kick-ass camera, took some kick-ass photos from all over the world, and set up a kick-ass photo gallery at the afore-mentioned blog.
e) She decided she was less than happy with her job in Boston, so she quit, took a 5 week trip through Latin America, came back and packed in two days, and moved to D.C., where she had a new and better job waiting. Oh yeah, and a house…
f) She bought a house.

These are just a few of the reasons I decided she deserved this coveted distinction. Trust me, there are more, but I am but one man, and haven’t the time to chronicle her journeys entirely in this forum.

Lastly, let’s remember that she did all of this while still being my best friend, a staunch Buffy fan, and most of all… cooler than shit.
